Alba Adriatica (TE), also know as the "Silver Beach" for its beautiful 2 km long sandy beach , is one of the most famous seaside resorts of Abruzzo.

Alba Adriatica is a town of 11,800 inhabitants in the province of Teramo. Awarded in 2003, 2004, 2007 and 2008 of the European Blue Flag (recognition for the cleanest seaside), is also known as the Silver Beach, for the beauty of its long sandy beach of about 2 miles; reputated as one of the most popular seaside resorts of Abruzzo, in the Blue Guide of Legambiente is marked with two sails.

The town is crossed by a bike path that runs parallel to the coast, allowing you to ride with no breaks for more than 20 km from Martinsicuro to Roseto degli Abruzzi, thanks to the wooden bridges built over the Vibrata and Salinello Tordino rivers.

Besides tourism, the primary source of income for the local economy is the sectors of textiles and clothing. Mobility is guaranteed by the train station, 16 SS Adriatic motorway (A14 - Val Vibrata exit) - and the nearby airports of Ancona and Pescara.

Alba Adriatica is by far the most popular tourist destination of Abruzzo, during the summer, and its population exceeds 85,000 inhabitants. The first event of national significance dates back to the distant summer of 1970, when hosted the first edition of the sculpture, painting and graphics "Marino Mazzacurati" award, honored by the presence of jurors like Renato Guttuso, Carlo Levi and Pier Paolo Pasolini.
